SciCoBOT Specifications
Currently, SciCoBOT uses ChatGPT to implement the following two functions:
- Temporary responses to questions and prompts:
SciCoBOT will respond to the first post in a topic or a reply that includes @SiCoBOT in the text. - Article composition:
Within the target topic, SciCoBOT will write an article based on the entered title and automatically create a SciCoNet page. Please refer to the topic description for input format rules.
In the future, we aim to create a community where AI and humans can solve problems through discussions. However, due to the limitations of the current AI, it is restricted to providing initial responses. Please note that the AI does not search through past logs for answers and only processes text information when a post is submitted.
Eventually, we would like to implement image recognition using models beyond ChatGPT-4 to answer questions about figures as well. However, at this point, the AI can only handle text. If a question involves images and does not require an AI response, starting the topic with the first character as "!!" will prevent the AI from answering.
Cause of error
When you submit a post, you will typically receive a response within 1-2 minutes (although it may take up to 5 minutes for article writing). If there is no reply from the AI, the following reasons may have caused the process to stop:
- You may have asked a question in a category or topic that is not covered by the AI's scope (refer to the description of each category for the applicable range).
- Please double-check that you have not asked your question in the wrong place, such as a math question in an information science topic.
- The AI may have determined that the content of your question does not match the category's subject matter.
- Verify that the English and Japanese article titles are correct. While Japanese can be omitted, there may be errors due to non-standard translated Japanese. We recommend entering both English and Japanese titles directly.
- An article with the same title already exists in pre-review.
- Check the pre-review subpages, temporarily change the name, or review and move it to another location before trying again.
- A server issue due to load (affects Sangaku, ChatGPT, or SciCoBOT application servers).
- ChatGPT may experience rate-limiting when a large number of questions are submitted at once. Please wait and try again later.
